Exploring Physics at UCLA

Designed for high school, community college, and lower-division physics majors to explore academic pathways across astrophysics, quantum hardware, neurophysics, plasma, and condensed matter. Moving past dense academic lectures, this redesigned summit features opening remarks from the chair of physics at UCLA, Stuart Brown, rapid 30-minute research talks paired with intimate, podcast-style fireside chats and open audience Q&As with UCLA/USC faculty, including the chair of physics at USC, and featured guest Krishna Choudhary, PhD. Short abstracts and bios of speakers and attending graduate students will be posted soon. Fully hosted breakfast and UCLA-catered lunch will be provided, along with the opportunity to network with invited UCLA graduate students. Complimentary parking codes for the first 100 registered attendees to waive the $17/day UCLA structure fee. Registration is completely free for both in-person and livestream access. Registration closes June 5 at 12 PM and will close once capacity is reached.
